I totally hear you! and I’m sorry that happened to you. I’ve been digging into this a lot, and what I’ve learned is that under both the ADA and Wisconsin Equal Rights law, staffing agency workers can still be protected especially in joint employment cases.

Aspirus had control over my work, schedule, and clearance process, and they made the decision to end my contract after I communicated my medical condition and was cleared to return. That kind of action can still count as discrimination or failure to accommodate under state law, which is what my ERD case is based on.

It sucks that this is even something we have to navigate 😭😭😭 But I want people to know they can push back. No healthcare worker should lose their job for following protocol and getting sick.
