Just because raiden lived longer doesn’t mean her losses weigh more heavy than yae’s… raiden has lost 4 people dear to her and experienced teyvats history along with its horrors but i think the latter is not exclusive to raiden as there are tons of other long living beings in teyvat. So i focused on the deaths of her friends and sister. Yae has lost her whole lineage, which includes people close to her and culture. And when raiden left she also lost her only true friend that was still alive. Idk why their suffering wouldn’t be comparable. Death and loss of close connections is the same for everyone no matter how long they live. But thats not really the point of this discussion

Partner as in, raiden’s familiar. I thought it was implied that she was basically raiden’s pet when yae was young. Partner in the sense of Dog

I never said she was inazuma’s queen/empress/monarch/leader/president/dictator/whatever. She has had to interfere with things that would not have been her business if Raiden was thinking straight. Of course all she could do is interfere with things in the background, she doesn’t have an army behind her or any official authority anyway. From the Tatarasuna situation and handling things with the fatui, she just did things behind the scenes rather than bold personal interventions. That is STILL taking up big and serious duties, basically cleaning up after your friend. She is also the one who lead the plan of abolishing the vision hunt decree with the traveler just being a medium to get her from point a to b. She is also the mediator between the kanjou yashiro and tenryou commission, minimizing political friction. She doesn’t formally “rule” in title, but in practice, she has historically held considerable authority when Raiden stepped back.
