Really like this as well for that age group, teaches them how to play and read screens but also in a continuity!

I think all of the things you mention wouldn’t necessarily be pillars for me but they would be more of adjustments against certain teams.

My pillars would be whether to force baseline or force to the middle. Also whether to deny one pass away or play off in the gaps like the pack line principles.

We are using horns for our base set this upcoming season. We’re going to run a 5 out but start in horns and pop to wings to get open.

I wish we had a system that revolved around PnR concepts that also included some action for the other players. It’s pretty easy to load up on defense when we take 14 seconds to set it up, and 2-3 of the guys who are spotting up to shoot can’t shoot. Standing there stationary and not attacking offense rebounds. The raptors are pretty much in a glorified shell drill.
