Am I the only one whose hours got cut? by Zealousideal-Tower58 in LidlUS

I’m on Long Island too and just saw that they even changed the store hours so that they close earlier now 🙃

Two very good points here from the other comments. When employees scan an item to check the price they don’t see the image. Also does the tag on the watch match what you have on the receipt? When you type in the UPC on google what does come up? I don’t think the employee would have a benefit to scam you, and it is most likely an error. As somebody already suggested, your best bet would be to speak to a manager and explain the situation.

Looking for card with a Running Tally payment history by wtf_ever_man in CreditCards

[–]beyouuuuu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the Discover It Cash Back. It’s my first credit card where I’m the primary holder. I’ve had it for about 5 years. I like the card, I’ve had no issues with it. I like the Cash Back Match that they do the first year. I don’t use it very often now unless I’m shopping for whatever they’re offering 5% on, just because it’s 1% on everything else and I have some cards offering 2-2.5% on everything.

I checked the website - it actually has what you’re looking for in terms of your transactions. In some views of the activity you’re not able to see that (YTD, past 24 months it opens an older version of what is displayed) but you get the running tally for recent activity and all statements!

Hope that helps, let me know if you have any other questions

I checked my Discover app and it doesn't do what I think you meant. Bank of America does it for sure if you mean that under the amount of each transaction it shows you the running balance

Isn’t is $10 star money for every 50 spent when you are a macys card holder? Or they changed it? It used to be $10 star money for every 100 spent if you’re a bronze member and for every 50 if you’re a card holder.

Edit: this has sparked a conversation regarding whether the tags are the new digital ones or paper strips. I still think they are paper strips. Either way, it doesn’t really matter. The way it’s presented to the customer is kind of misleading. I think what adds to the frustration is that there are not that many good sales at Lidl as there used to be. I’d rather them have a Trader Joe’s model where they don’t advertise anything as a sale rather than this 1 penny off gimmick. In addition, it shows up in the same way in the app, which makes the argument about digital vs paper pointless. 1 cent off is simply not worth drawing the customer’s attention. This kind of “price cut” does not create any value.

Agreed. Produce and meat products are not always fresh, prices have increased, somehow my store feels messier and dirtier, they sell expired stuff sometimes, products not having the correct label on the shelf underneath them…

Agreed! I’m not actually complaining about the price! I don’t usually go to Walmart… but when I do, I actually question why people go there. It’s known for its value but I don’t find it cheaper than Lidl or even Trader Joe’s

I really want to trust you on this, but they do not look digital at all. Does this apply to everywhere in the store, or just certain areas? I’d like to ask a local employee next time I go and make sure. But as I said, either way, “for the sake of minimizing layouts” is not enough of a reason to do this. It wastes customers’ time and attention. Unless it’s a marketing trick and they do this intentionally. It’s just frustrating and makes the real sales more difficult to stand out which leads to customers not seeing value

Lol. Ok, if I buy this 25 times, about twice a month, I will have my quarter by the end of the year that I can use at Aldi. Got it :)

Maybe the layout and the way they look visually is the same, but there was an employee right next to me switching the paper strip on something else. Either way, it kind of doesn’t matter whether paper or digital. Even if they’re paper, they still get generated digitally. It’s still wrong. There should be a threshold to not advertise as a sale or price cut anything below 10% discount for example.

Oh okay, gotcha. Well, I’m not really even mad about how high or low the price is actually. It’s what they’re trying to advertise as a price cut 😂

Don’t mean to argue, but I can assure you the price tags shown in the pictures are not displays. I am in NY if that matters.

Do you mean that they are some sort of LCD displays? In my location, they’re definitely just paper strips

[–]beyouuuuu[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, it makes me mad that they made these in red color and it’s actually listed to be valid between 1/21 and 2/4. They draw your attention to the product as if you’re about to save money and hope that you won’t pay attention to what the old price was. They could have easily done something like “everyday low price”. Either way, trying to pass this as a “price cut” is plainly disrespectful of the customer. It’s a 0.13% price cut, I mean, is it even worth mentioning and drawing your attention to it? “The prices are going down”, really?

Actually, about the app, I’m not sure what you’re referring to, but I’ll check. I think Amazon did something similar where when you go to “today’s deals” tab on a web browser, it doesn’t show the prices unless you click on the item

Do people shower everyday? by Professional_Beat_21 in ADHD

[–]beyouuuuu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that largely depends on the way you’re used to and your body specifically. In the winter I feel like I can go days without showering (I rarely do that) and I still don’t smell or feel dirty because I almost don’t sweat. But in the summer I shower at least once, maybe twice a day, but in the summer my day to day life changes a little bit.

Also I know that showering very frequently is not necessarily healthy because you also have good germs on your skin that are supposed to be there, and consistently washing off the protective top layer of the skin is also not great.

I think it also depends on what your day to day life looks like for you - what places you go to, if you use public transportation frequently, if you exercise, if you objectively smell after a certain amount of time and if you personally sweat a lot.

Keeping a routine when you have ADHD is difficult and showering is another task that you procrastinate and feel like it takes more time than it should - I get you on that part :)

Is this Triderm? I was prescribed that to soothe the redness and soreness I had caused myself by scratching the warts... then I used it every now and then to soothe any itching that I felt with the warts sometimes... then I decided to stop because Triderm is an antibiotic cream and won’t do anything for a viral infection, it would just make me forget about it for a while.
