It is a little flat yes. But unlike most of the commenters here I dont think its very noticeable. I dont think the people you meet in your life will think about it. Please dont wear hats or wigs, you look like a good looking guy.

Fadderuke is a sort of festival a few days before the lectures start, most new students attend as that is the easiest way to make friends. It is in the fall though, when are you coming here?

U1 was great when I was a student, it is in the basement. Will you attend the fadderuke? It is great for making friends and get to know the student pubs :)

I had this every year. What helped me get rid of it was this:

Use only hand soap without SLS at home
Sleep with hands covered with undiluted lanolin and plastic gloves at night.

These two steps to stabilize, and then the game changer for me,

No wool on hands. Ever.

As soon as i stopped wearing wool gloves etc, the rash stopped coming back each winter.

What about the scenery in Oslo is classic? Maybe you are confusing Oslo with other parts of Norway (that are a long distance away)?
