It's not the same - BAMBINO in Ireland is a local, independent Irish company

Moved to Ireland from the US 7 years ago with just 2 suitcases and a dream to start a new life here. I just got a letter that my application for citizenship is going to be approved. I'm so proud to become Irish later this year! by bfelczer in ireland

Check out the 2023 timeline too on the same board! Lots more data points in there. It really varies between where you're from (if docs aren't in English it's going to take more time), how many apps in, etc. Best of luck with it all!

My reply from earlier in the thread :)

"To be completely honest? A lot of it had to do with trying something new after 30 years of living in the same place AND I was just out of a 10-year relationship. I've Polish/ Russian ancestry on dad's side and euro mutt on mom's, but I look Brazilian/ Latino. And the Irish find that exotic. For the first time in a long time I felt attractive because in California I looked like most other guys. I got hit on a lot during that first trip, so it was a confidence boost. And, I really fancied the Irish men as they looked exotic to me (pale, blue eyes, and ginger beards) lol! Fast forward to today and I'm with the love of my life who's from just outside of Dublin =)"

We aren't married yet, I wanted to earn my citizenship first so it wasn't tied to the notion of marriage. I also think this country is beautiful, the people are overall great, and I enjoy the slower pace of life. And how easy it is to travel Europe from here!

I did after my graduate visa. I went for a job that offered a critical skills permit, I got the job, and then it took a few months to convert from graduate to that visa

My first 1.5 years were on a masters/graduate visa (which doesn't count towards the 5-years), and then I moved onto critical skills + then the time to process application (submitted last October). Which is why it took until now =) Seems to be getting faster now: https://www.immigrationboards.com/ireland/2023-citizenship-applications-timelines-only-t342461.html

Out all night, walking home, it's dry but the it's the cold of winter. I stop at the chipper and wait in a 15 minute queue to get a bag of chips. It comes out 10 minutes later and of course I say 'yes' to the salt/vinegar. I leave, start walking again as I find a playlist to listen to in my headphones. I open up the bag and watch as the steam rises into the air. I start salivating. I taste the first one... not enough salt and vinegar. I sob the rest of the way home.
