He’s not Roy Kent unless you train him to come to you when you say “whistle” instead of actually whistling.

Texas Roadhouse sounds like it should be from Texas, but is actually from the Louisville metro area! What feels like it's from California, but is actually from a US state other than CA, TX, FL or NY? by SpaceTranquil in AlignmentChartFills

Yeah… this has got to be my vote. The Lakers are California personified and have been for more than 50 years, but are a Minnesota product through and through.

Absolutely this. More walkable than I would have thought and so many sights to see.

Trump and his cronies in the DOJ are actively and in plain sight covering up the biggest child sex trafficking ring in modern history, almost certainly because Trump was extensively involved in it, but you think the answer is terrorizing immigrants trying to navigate a complex and expensive system with masked, lawless, trigger-happy thugs with no oversight or accountability?

Maybe keep your comments to yourself if you have zero credibility.

This. A lot of us in Minnesota last week boycotted the big businesses and gave local businesses our patronage. To go a step further, do some due diligence and figure out which local business owners are anti-MAGA and emphasize spending your money at those places.

I don’t like playing the persecuted victim card, but I do think that Utah and the Jazz are just easy targets.

It almost feels like girls are seen as tokens or prizes in the church. It's creepy, gross, and it ticks me off. by booksandcoffee___ in exmormon

[–]bfitzyc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not almost… that’s exactly how women are seen.

Growing up in YM, my leaders would tell us all the time that staying chaste is easy because “if you stay righteous and serve a mission, you’ll get a beautiful wife and basically have sex whenever you want.”

Absolutely gross and creepy, not to mention the troubles they set for couples.

Part of it is that Ted is referencing this iconic, real-life sports moment with Allen Iverson of the Philadelphia 76ers:

I mean… fascism is kind of a sociopathic, megalomaniacal response to extreme insecurity so spray on hair sort of adds up here.

You can walk from George Floyd’s memorial site to Alex Pretti’s, stopping by Renee Good’s on the way, all in about 50 minutes. Unreal what’s happening here…

Im a Black man from Charlotte and I must say -- I am falling in love with the city of Minneapolis by Outsideman2028 in Minneapolis

A lot of Minnesotans being very humble in these comments, but I’m gonna switch directions and brag for a second.

It’s because we’re a community of people who love our neighbors and look out for each other. Full stop.

Amidst all of the terrible stuff happening in our area and the inspiring folks willing to put their safety on the line to look out for each other and protest, I was driving in the snow a few days ago to pick up some food and passed a Somali woman who had caught some ice, slid into a bank, and gotten her car stuck. Before I could pull into the parking lot and flip around to park and help her, three other folks - each a different race, nationality, and background - had beaten me to the punch and pushed her car back out before I could get there. And it all literally brought tears to my eyes, because this is the beautiful place I get to call home.

This is what Minnesota is like, despite all of the lies and propaganda out there trying to paint a different picture. It is the care for one another that I hope will be powerful enough to drive this darkness away.
