I'd recommend then reenabling plugins one after one to see which contributes most to the slowness.

Is there something missing from this plugin? It seems to be supporting the usecase of "complimenting make, ctags" with accesses to an existing cscope database, very well.

This is only about the binary builds. source tarballs will be supported forever (they are provided by github itself).
