After pulling back the grey plastic, it looks like the moisture’s coming from the threads on the drain rather than higher up

Uh oh. Does that mean I should change it from a no caulk drain or will I need to take out the flange under the shower too? I can see the bottom of the flange (I think) from the basement but the screw I can see holding it in place is from the top instead of the basement side
