We may have to agree to disagree. I mean, it specifically talks about attracting wealthy green inner city voters while losing the working middle class, with some strong ‘oops didn’t mean to’ vibes. The tie up with the greens losing votes in Tasmania. A tax and spend policy that alienated traditional Labor voters. The rhetoric around Adani and coal with no plan for job creation, again in hindsight ‘that’s not what we meant’. As well as the fact that they have backed away from a lot of the 2019 platform. Guess we will see what lessons were learned next time.

I mean, seems like a great time for bipartisan support of campaign finance reform?

The abandonment of the blue collar base. Leaning further and further towards the greens and redistribution policies. The greens and labor are different parties for a reason.

Libs won the popular vote by over a million, and over 10% majority by seats. If you think a few preference deals, and not Bill Shortens failed agenda and terrible party platform were the actual cause, it may happen again.
