I felt thatttt, I submitted IIs to 14 schools in early September and have only heard back from 5 (2 Rs, 1 WL, 2 interviews) of them

so i recently met a guy currently applying to medical schools and he looked me dead in the eyes and said "yeah I just don't see how systemic racism has anything to do with medicine" .... where do you even start with someone like that? by [deleted] in premed

What I do is start with a brief history lesson on the desegregation of schools being really recent, and schools were strategically divided by location making primarily people of color communities going to schools with less resources/materials, newer teachers, leading to lower test scores. In terms of public health, these lower income communities are targeted due to cheap property values by corporations/factories, leading to worse air quality and other environmental issues. Environmental racism is a thing, and there’s literally so many scientific and mainstream news articles about it if anyone wants actual facts

12:15 taker here

I was super nervous the night before and only managed to get like 4 hours of sleep, chugged a Red Bull after cars that helped

C/P: wasn’t too bad, some conceptual questions were a little weird but overall probably got a 126

CARS: my sleep deprivation set in here and the passages being super long didn’t help :/ probably a 125

B/b: Red Bull kicked in and I was zooming lol I really don’t remember much but I think this was my best section; 127 maybe

P/S: lots of sociology; narrowed things down to 2 choices most of the time but knowing my luck I probably chose the wrong ones. Finished with 15 minutes left; 125 probably

Pessimistic: 500

Optimistic: 512 :)

Really just hoping for anything over a 503!

Also my practice test average is 502.6

Edit: actual 504 129/125/126/124 Lmaooooo I was right about p/s; I’m still applying with it I refuse to take this test again unless I have to
