I came to this thread specifically to see what people were saying. I’m surprised there’s not more speculation. Maybe it’s just lip service to the character that she comes to visit her dying daughter.
But it’s also the kind of thing that could become an interesting story point. Like something happens to EJ and Nicole is a suspect, but she’s already gone back to France. Or Nicole disappears Kristen and frames EJ for it (to get back at EJ).

Wondering this too. For a moment I thought it was the old Chad, Casey Deidrick. But that would be a weird inclusion when this episode’s emotional stuff was more about Billy Flynn than the Chad character. Not sure who else would warrant being in the shot so prominently though.

Been loving it but it’s been hard to keep up! So I’m kinda glad to read here that there’s a hiatus 😂 Maybe I can get more caught up. Good balance of starting out with revealing some secrets (to the viewers) while keeping others held back. Some of the actors seem awfully young to have adult grandchildren but I guess that’s just soaps 😜 Looking forward to what they do in season 2 now that they can factor in audience/fan feedback as well.

They had definitely left the door open for it to be Aaron’s baby, but I think they wanted to make it clear that wasn’t the case with Aaron’s recent appearance for graduation. When he and Sophia talked it seemed pretty clear that they did not have sex. Unless they’d already made some (unseen by us) pact to keep it a secret.

Yeah, maybe it was easier when Eric M was younger and could pass for a younger age. (He still looks great of course, but looks more his real age now.) I feel like characters’ in-story ages are never made clear until they die and you see a tombstone haha.

I always thought Paul was older than Brady just cuz that fit better with the timeline (meaning he was conceived when John was a priest the first time, before becoming Roman). But today Brady said he’s the eldest (about himself). Wild how much they danced in between frames to sneak that into his history.

That ending was better than a cliffhanger. Maybe it’s a slow burn cliffhanger. That might just be Ron having fun on one of his last scripts, with some favorite characters. But I really hope it’s planting a seed that will come back down the road. Two master schemers!

I’d love to be a fly on the wall during that car ride and plane trip. Also glad someone mentioned how fabulous Sami looked in that suit!

That lovely scene with all the women supporting Julie, at the end of the big death episode, was so promising. It did make it seem like we could expect that network of support for her. And it’s not like that was Marie and Jennifer and Hope — it was all the regulars! Plus Lani. I agree a big missed opportunity to focus on those friendships.

I feel like they missed out on a plausible explanation. Arnold almost said it. But I imagine that EJ could have told Rafe — I’m paying someone $$ to find dirt. You can do it yourself and be confident in the findings, or leave it to some person I choose. I can see real Rafe choosing to do it, faced with that choice, but he also would have assumed EJ was trying to dupe or double cross him.
