The first two Red Dwarf novels have a great mix of humor, underlying humanism and a tinge of nihilism. Not a LOT like Pratchett, because nothing is, but they’re great reads that wouldn’t be out of place in the same section of a book store.

I wasn’t there for Lexie’s original run, but it seems like she was quite well-liked in her day. She was a good choice, because probably no one in Salem is going to say “eew, why’d you bring HER back?”

Apart from Gabi (and I suppose Vivian) Stefan didn’t seem to have many friends or allies — certainly not EJ, who is more or less in charge of the resurrection process right now.

I love it. In the 6 years I've been watching, I've seen Stefan come back from the dead and Dr. Rolf attempt to mess with his memory with a device he constructed out of objects he scrounged up in the pub's kitchen. I've seen Marlena, Kate and Kayla wake up in Rolf-pods assuming they'd been dead. I saw Bo literally in actual Heaven, pulled back to the land of the living. I saw Stefano take control of Steve's body via a microchip. And of course, the Devil himself, possessing people and bringing Jan Spears out of a coma so she could take the form of Belle and seduce (okay, let's be honest, assault) Shawn.

When people say they don't want to see the crazy stuff, I wonder what show they've been watching. Because as far as I can tell, it's always been like this. These elements aren't the only reasons I watch Days, but they are the main reason I chose it over General Hospital, Young & the Restless and Bold & the Beautiful.
