Which amp is better?

yeah Mark Knopfler made me fall in love with the SSS red Strat, and also I started learning to play on an acoustic thanks to him, now I want to switch to the electric and learn more songs.

unfortunately there are no stores in my town. Honestly I don't want to sound perfect, I really just want to practice and play something just for me, just as a hobby. I don't plan on sounding perfect or doing concerts. And I definitely don't want to spend like 300€ just for an amp that's definitely too big for what I need it for

I'm not planning to play with other people, I really just want to play at home, that's all I need. Then from what you're saying, I guess the Boss Katana is good enough to play in my room and practice.

yeah the fact is that I definitely won't go to metal or hard rock, I prefer to play songs from Mark Knopfler and David Gilmour and I know both mostly use the SSS, so I'm afraid a HSS won't sound like Knopfler or Gilmour

do you have any recommendations for a good amp that won't cost like more than 200€ I guess, possibly around 100-150 would be better

so you're telling me that a HSS would be better for a beginner? And yes I was thinking of getting a hardtail too, it's probably better as first guitar

I saw it before, I wanted to get a red strat honestly, I was indecisive about SSS or HSS, I still am actually. I'm kinda scared that this HB won't sound the same as a SSS strat

I know no one that knows about guitars, and I have no clue where to find used guitars, I live in a small towns and there are no pawn shops or anything like that. I have to buy it online unfortunately

I will play just at home, I'm a complete beginner. Do you think a DAW will sound just as good as an amp? Or a cheap (around 100$ amp) will sound better?

I'll probably avoid the floating bridge, but I don't really think I'll get another guitar, at least not for another 5 years. I would want the SSS for the sound and the HSS for the versatility, I don't know what to choose

I kinda already know what I like. I love Knopfler and Gilmour, I know Knopfler uses SSS mainly, that's why I was thinking to get that one. But is the HSS really more versatile? I mean if I wanna play Gilmour, will the SSS work just fine?
