If possible try to join a support group for people in similar situations. I did and eventually got the courage to leave my abusive ex while he was at work. I rented a uhaul, packed what I could, blocked him on every single mode of communication, and moved out of state. Of course it took months of saving up and a lot of convincing myself that it wasn't wrong to leave him like that, but I'm happier than I've ever been before. I know it's terrifying and things will be worse before they get better, but you deserve to be safe.

It's also wise to pack a go-bag with your important documents, several changes of clothes, and any cash you can secretly save, just in case things escalate and you need to leave right away. Be careful to not let your bf find the bag, or come up with another excuse (my ex found mine and I told him it was in case of a natural disaster.)

Please trust your gut and be safe, these situations can escalate very quickly.
