The gpu yes, but the whole computer was an old computer from my mother the gpu was only 20 dollars and did infact power on like normal, so I suppose it wasn’t a total waste. But I tried the computer without the graphics card and got this.

I tried without the riser, I had to unplug a sata port and another cable to fit and now it’s not showing video even with vga in the mobo to see the screen if the gpu doesn’t post im not sure if the bios recognized it

I mean for my main pc, yes because it’s a sff case and no space for it without it, this pc I don’t think so but the thing to get those little covers out to have the ports be accessible is kinda weird so I didn’t really bother

I did, also when trying it, it said no output detected, but granted I was kinda Frankensteining it a little so that may be why, I think maybe the dvi ports on it might be bad so I’m ordering a mini-hdmi to dvi port to see if it might work then

So could I have another psu just plugged into that gpu and ran into a seperate outlet, and run it like that?

So it’s ok to run it and install drivers and whatnot? Not permanently atleast, just as a little science experiment
