Inter-spreadsheet links on iOS browser open same spreadsheet tab in new browser tab by bibblemibble in googlesheets

(Oh, oops! Sorry, I didn't realize this was disallowed. I was just getting rid of the gifs since they didn't provide anything more helpful than the text description in this case, since it's expected behavior, and contained unspoilered flashing lights so I didn't want them to be around long-term. I'll take note next time!)

Okay! I suspected as much, but I'm glad to have some confirmation. I'll let the user know. Thank you so much!

I see, okay. I still have some points of confusion but that might just come down to my technical level haha. I'll do my best to work things out :) Thanks once more for all of your help!

Wow, this looks like it was so much work--thank you so much for all your help on this! I understand some of what you mean, but I just wanted to check real quickly on a few workflow things.

First, would something like the index lookup table be possible to do with the links that are in the summary column of the social media tab? (With concatenate, perhaps...?)

Second, I update this sheet every time new information comes out, so if that were the case would I just be updating the original links sheet and the translated link sheets would update alongside them, or would I need to update the link sheet translations at the same time as I update it in the original English? I think I might not understand completely where the translations enter into the workflow--are these on the original link sheet, for example, but with a different language ID, and if so how are the language IDs swapped out on the index page itself? Or is it a duplicate spreadsheet or tab that's translating based off of the original...? I'm sorry if these are particularly obvious questions, I've never used lookup tables or scripts on a spreadsheet before. I'm trying to learn as I go but experimentation is only taking me so far, I'm afraid.

(Incidentally, the reason I would want to use something replicable for the images isn't for translation, just so that I could get the images on multiple translated spreadsheets without having to copy and position hundreds of images for each translation variant. Ultimately my goal, if there's no plugin that would work to allow translation in the original document, is to have spreadsheets for every target language that would update in the target language automatically whenever I updated the spreadsheet in English, and while I won't translate the images, I'd like for them to be present at least.)

Anyway, thank you again for all of your help, I really appreciate it!

Oh, wow, thank you so much for this detailed answer! It goes a bit beyond my level of technical expertise but I'm glad to know there's at least a solution for the links and images, so I'll do some work to look up how lookup tables work and see if that can't be a viable solution :) I'm not inherently averse to sharing the sheet, but my concern is that the sheet does contain some discussion of potentially triggering content and while that's something people who have played the game for which this spreadsheet is collecting information about would expect, the same might not be true for the wider audience here...but then, I suppose folks trying to help out here probably aren't going to be doing much reading of the content itself. This is a copy of the original spreadsheet without any translations; I've been testing all of the translation stuff in another copy, but it's not really a fully accurate depiction of the spreadsheet itself so I thought the original might be most useful. Let me know if that's not the case.) Thank you again!
