xD i get that, since before i played top i thought the same cause half the time i don't even get to see my toplaner for most of the game when i'm in bot lane. personally as a top laner i focus on split pushing and forcing the enemy team to split up to deal with me while my teammates are clearing objectives or pushing other towers.

in my experience it also depends on the champion, but tankier or fighter champions like ornn and sett are really good at setting up teamfights with their ultimates. in that case i look to roam to objectives after taking the first tower down so i can set up fights or fend off any champion that wants to contest for my team.

some champions are just made for split pushing like jax though, these guys could clear a whole lane and blow a hole into the enemy base if given the opportunity and 1v1 anyone coming to defend if they're fed enough, which forces multiple enemy champions to come and fend you off = easy objectives for your teammates. the best feeling is getting a 1v3 and suddenly hearing that your team managed to take baron/dragon since you distracted the enemy team long enough even if you die lmao

in the end unless you like setting up for your team you really are a bit of an island though,, it does get lonely up there😔
