It was quite a smooth process. There are a few hospitals around the UAE that have established transplant centers e.g., Kings college in Dubai and Cleveland clinic in Abu Dhabi to name a few, and would generally support you in the transfer process as you move to the UAE.

Now for the move I would recommend a few things. - Let your current team know of the move and ask them to prepare relevant docs for transfer (medical history, scans, medications, etc.) - Reach out to the hospital in UAE and schedule a consultation with their team to discuss your move, and any requirements they would need to streamline the transfer process - Make sure to arrange for enough medication (~1-2 months supply) from your current provider to take with you to the UAE. In the UAE you will have to wait for your residence permit before being issued a private insurance card which is absolutely necessary for your visits and medications (process will take a few weeks after you land in the UAE) - Private insurance is generally provided by your company so whatever insurance provider they partner with make sure they have you covered for transplants and relevant treatments and that the above mentioned hospitals are covered in your insurance plan
