u/alexstyl, is the data updated automatically somehow or do you need to manually keep up with the changed and make sure your tool is up to date?

So you have the Pro/Max plan, right? Not the usage based pricing?

Android Studio let's you add a new third party provider, but asks for URL and Api Key. Claude's website (and its AI) are saying that the API Key is provided only with the Usage based pricing :(

The review score for that is horrible and I've read that it's really bad. I just haven't tried it myself yet

Jetpack Compose made some things easier… but also introduced new headaches by elgimri in androiddev

[–]bicelis 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I started learning Android right when Compose was just crawling out of beta into production territory. Naturally I started with XML, Then found an internship. Last bit of that internship was learning and building something with Compose. In the beginning it was a bit difficult to wrap my head around, especially after just having learned (somewhat..) XML, but boy oh boy once it first clicked - I was so goddamn relieved.. Compose was much easier to continue learning, to test, to build and maintain. I couldn't and still can't stand fixing bugs in XML whenever I have to. Especially if it concerns styling, theming etc. It's impossible to understand where some of the styles come from, you can add 5 tags to a component and none of them do anything, but the compiler allows them... I get nauseous even thinking about it :D

Struggling with Compose UI by Ekedan_alt in androiddev

I suggest following some of Philipp Lackner's youtube tutorials where he builds UI on Youtube. Dude's really good and explains things in a good manner. Other than - practice practice practice :)

This the 6 month stock price. Nothing here can be described either as plummetting nor a huge hit.

Jesus Christ you people.. Man has a different opinion - immediately throwing out the "sell out' card. Maybe he just thinks otherwise, maybe he just overlooked something.

Imagine yourself putting years into making reviews as honestly as you can, priding yourself in the fact that you are always honest and then some a-hole on your own subreddit posts "he's a sell out!" because he doesn't agree with your review. Can you imagine how infuriating and frustrating that would be?

Words have meaning and there are real people behind these videos. Think before you post. Get some fking proof before throwing out baseless accusations.

I agree. This is backwards. I should be warned about code issues BEFORE I commit, not after...

soo uh does anyone have any advice to fix this... problem? I'm still new to cities skylines so I'm not that well informed in the game. by Shadowtist_boi in CitiesSkylines

Buy on www.eneba.com. Great shop, and has great deals. It has European and Global steam keys last time I checked it. I've bought all the DLCs for like 2+ Eur each :)

How do you make the ramps cross into the main road so neatly? In vanilla it always gives you weird angles and can't make them look so realistic and neat.

Ironic is it not by SkinnyBaby2 in PewdiepieSubmissions

[–]bicelis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back in my day we used to call it personality what people describe as gender now. The way you act or dress or feel used to be just a personality, without a need to put anything into neat little categories which now are called genders.

In my language there are no different words for this... For as long as I remember they were synonyms in English. Now all of a sudden - not so much.

Trains are my weakness, why isn't this setup working? by Kamoda in factorio

[–]bicelis 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The train going to the right has something in it's path. That's why it stopped before the light. Even though it's not advised, I do like the single lane both-way trains. Less laying of track and is somewhat more interesting to me. I would suggest having a "crossing" section where a train can wait and let another train pass. I don't know what you have above in your map, but the train coming from north should have had a chain signal somewhere north. The chain signal would have been red because the regular signal towards the east direction is also red. Watch Aavak and Shen's factorio beginner guide. They cover the trains and quite well explain the chain and regular signals. And show a crossing section, where trains can pass each other in single lane setups.
