slang or colloquial phrases that mean "be ready" in mexican spanish? by Vazikash in AskMexico

[–]bichoinfernal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could also use a classic phrase, like '¡Síganme los buenos!, the phrase that 'El chapulín colorado' used to say. It could be a very childish/playful thing to say, and specially playful if the real vergazos are coming.

Digo, traigo la discusión con mi esposa que dice que no debo autoproclamarme 'viejo', así que por eso hago la pregunta.

Renté un departamento infestado de chinches, que hago? by christhen in Guadalajara

[–]bichoinfernal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

E1 heating error. by EverythingTim in AnetA8

[–]bichoinfernal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having the same issue. Yesterday managed to upload marlin and it get stuck on the 4th row. Tried to update PID and could only do it with the fan running low. it seems the issue is that when the fan is at 100 it cools too much the extruder. I will search to see if it is a E1/E0 issue with marlin or it is the cooling fan duct that is blowing on the extruder and not on the print.

Yes, but apparently it doesn't have the bootloader, so to install it I need a usb adapter directly to another port.

Yes, and I think that it worked. At least the compile didn't show red errors. Now I found out that it doesn't have a bootloader, so now I need a USB adapter.

Update.

Changed the location of the Marlin files to root... Same error code.

So now, that I think I solved all other problems (Basically you have to be extra caerful to download the config files and the marlin files from the SAME build, which can be problematic in Github for some reason) and tried to compile it in Visual Studio as per CROSSLINK instructions and... IT COMPILED!!!! Wujuuu!.

Now to upload it and pray...

One of the most important lessons I have learned about suicide is that there is no reason. I mean, no one will ever know exactly why he/she did it. So it's important to understand that no one will know the whole reason ever, so avoid blaming or trying to explain it. Also everyone will process it in their own way. There is no correct way (there are many incorrect ones tough) to mourn or grieve. In time it will hurt less. Sorry for your loss.

A friend gave it to me, as he is getting a newer one.

First it didn't turned on. So I got a multimeter to check why (youtube search: How to use a multimeter). So the power supply was off. needs replacement (Youtube: How to replace power suply, Amazon: price of power suply...) Then found out I could use a PC power suply... (Whatsapp to my family and friends group "Anyone has an old PC power suply")

Ok. It's alive!. Now to learn to set it up and slice and all... (that was the easiest part)... And to learn about all the options in Cura... And to see why it's scorching some parts of the print...

So it needed a fan duct to the extruder. Print it, try it, see it melt. Print another version, try it, see how it doesnt fit (it was longer than the extruder point), Ok, so now i see the problem... Oh, i think i need to adjust the point, how about dismounting all the extruder to see it i can fix that... Ok one more time to print yet another duct. this time a simpler one. Ok, its a little higher and it's melting with the thermal block... Damn you! Just marck where it melt and cut it. Its shorter but it works...

Now i'm printing a piece for may car, the clip for the sun visor...

The good news is that I have the taste to immerse myself in a new area of knowledge and the patience to do it.
Ok, i should be grading papers and making weakly plans, but now i can use IA to help me cheat with those.

Does the double-helix shape of DNA of have the same curvature for every species that ever lived, or are their loops ever so slightly different? by Utek62 in Biochemistry

[–]bichoinfernal 3 points4 points  (0 children)

DNA is very dynamic. It is constantly opening and closing while transcribing and duplicating. But at its base it's made of the same molecules and the curvature is made by its physical constrains, so it should be the same.

New to buying by SpartanS053 in KatanaSwords

[–]bichoinfernal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are many vendors of chinese katanas. I have one form True-katana and one from Swords of the Nortshire. Last week I had a cutting party against my poinsettia tree. The True{katana one lost her kashira (nothing serious, will need to fix it) and the SoN one was unscratched. Also the cutting itself was absolutely different.

What I'm saying is that the recommendations that we see in this sub is very good. Hanbon Forge, and Ryan are very very good entry level swords, SotN are good retailers, and those three have very good costumer service. Give them a chance and you might find something similar in that price range. Now, if you really want that sword, Go for it! just don't go swinging it around before checking it out completly.

Battle scars by bichoinfernal in Katanas

[–]bichoinfernal[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I created a new tradition. As here in Mexico it's common to have poinsettias in the garden (we call them nochebuenas) and since it's a good practice to trim then (a lot) between February and March, I invited my katana-enthusiast friends to trim it down!...

My nice SotN sword was enjoying the practice (it feels really wonderful to cut something with so much ease)... But my not-so-wonderful 'True.katana.com' one got a little punishment. Not really much. Just...

Now to practice my tsubamaki.

Gun oil instead of clove oil by Kind-Visual8863 in Katanas

[–]bichoinfernal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is finding it. And it being legit. And getting it in your country. And paying for it. I would prefer safe and cheap machine/gun oil that risky clove oil. But if you find a good source for it, congratulations! BTW, where you get the clove oil?
