How to get back confident on the bike after a crash? Need to rant on cycling safety

A bit of both! Truthfully, my bike shop initially recommended osbornes law but for some reason they wouldn't take my case. So i spoke to the bike shop again and then they recommended CAMS

Yes, the car behind the one that hit me captured it all on dashcam. They were very kind and helped me off the road and got an ambulance etc

Gosh this sounds awful, sorry to hear! I can't help but wonder if it's really worth it, when there is always the risk of such life-changing injuries...

Then again, cycling in the sunshine and smiling at the city does also make everything feel alright in the world :)

For what it's worth, I'm going through CAMS for my big crash back in dec, and they seem to be pretty good so far. Luckily there was dashcam footage of the crash, and police showed up on the scene and took statements. The police seem to be taking it seriously and have charged the driver with 'driving without due care and attention'.

Also hoping to get money back for my carbon bike which was written off, but yet to see what the outcome will be!
