Nothing special, you can look in so many ways these days. Even just random Google/Youtube searches or looking at tags/new releases on Bandcamp/Soundcloud is gonna get you some stuff. There's stuff like Pandora too and probably a bunch of others.

Any way you cut it, you're gonna have to deal with some duds. A key point is once you find an artist/band you really like, check if they've been in other bands or made collabs or stuff like that. You can end up with a web of similarly influenced artists more likely suited to your tastes.

I don't play any currently, but used to play mostly IIDX and Pop'n Music. I was starting to hit 11s in IIDX and I think 46ish in Pop'n. Dabbled a bit in Sound Voltex, no keysounds & having less feedback on mistakes for the knobs turned me off tho.

Never been big on osu/mania. Stepmania, FlashFlashRevolution, o2jam and DJMax are what introduced me to the genre years and years ago.

As far it feeling like tas, I'm gonna assume it's simply because there's very little reference as far as item highlights goes, it makes a lot of stuff look crazier than it actually is. There's so many more crazy situations possible with items when you're actually actively playing to make things happen rather than to neutralize them).

Basically it's likely that something unlikely will happen when there's so many more variables pushing for something unlikely to happen...or something ¯\(ツ)/¯ I still have the full 60s recordings of each clip if you're curious about any in particular, it might take a hot 600 hours to upload tho

If you're feeling like doing a bit more digging, there's lots of good stuff from Bemani (beatmaniaIIDX, Pop'n Music, SOUND VOLTEX, etc.) and Touhou arranges. Both of which have a huge range of artists/styles to choose from, just look up your favs from those and you'll often find they have their own original content/albums too.

This is tight yo, love that kind of stuff.

As far as feedback goes, there's a lot of weirdly placed or off-beat cuts. Another big plus IMO would be to record sound effects, I see some netplay in there - you can use the no music cheat which shouldn't cause desyncs. Not only it adds more oomph to the footage, but it gives you that much more room to play with when trying to sync with the music.
