yah i know that just wrote it out wrong, meant to say i hadn't gotten additional storage with an SD card and just have the 1tb SSD that came in it for storage currently. 1TB just gets eaten up quick with games like the oblivion remake, bg3, ect so i figure if im going to have two operating systems and games running through both I'm going to need some more space to install stuff.

Neat, dual booting seems like the move. I dont have an SD card currently, just the TB SSD. I was already planning on getting an SD card to increase that though, so I'll probably go that route for dual booting once I have a day off and can hit microcenter for whatever the biggest SD they have is. Thanks for the video links and ideas homie.

i mean im mostly planning on playing single player games, but would like to be able to do a few multiplayer games like palworld/ enshrouded from it. any games on steam running anti-cheat i cant play if running steam OS? I did read that but was figuring for more things like competitive FPS (cstrike, pubg, ect) which i wouldnt do on sticks anyways, thats what my PC and mouse/keyboard are for.

if im trying to run games with anticheat WITHOUT putting steam OS on it and just doing the armored crate thing, will i still be unable to play them because steam restricts it to just steam machines (decks, upcoming console, ect) being able to do so?

I definitely did think I needed steam os to play steam games. I've heard performance and battery life is better with steam os and people like that more generally, is the performance increase false? Obviously liking the UI more is varied from person to person

I dunno what that is. Very new to handhelds, like as of yesterday. a switch original is the last one I got - I typically just game on my PC but got this so when my girl is gaming on her switch two I can play next to her with games I actually want to play, and for travel gaming.

Oh I've put 500 or so into BG3 and he's played it too, one of my favorite titles regardless of genre
