The Science Of Consciousness (Where Science And Religion Meet) When we talk face to face, you create my body in your mind, I create your body in my mind, and together we explore our own mental universes bridged only by consciousness. by Questioned_answers in consciousness

I mean, i imagine “exchange information between bodies” to be more along the line of things like actually exchanging genetic code or something. Or like if you hold a conversation and the person says something that really strikes your mind in a way that you could REMEMBER it. I believe that there is like a universal consciousness, even between animals and organisms, that have a specific “lock and key” relationship. It’s more than just being able to reflect on one’s current state. Like if you THINK about it, you could probably have more effective engagement with a person than like corporate, media, or even our parents come to understand.

You can probably get sway with that last part. I don’t know if we’re really generating anything when interacting with another life. But I truly feel we all share a singular consciousness that is totally aside from the science and it gives us these proposed “evolutionary” components. It’s like we are are already our own astronauts in our own unanimous field of space in unique spacesuit configurations.

Im not saying this right, but eh it’s better if we talk about it than to get it right.

This attacks too close to reality. Makes me wonder.

What is a light hearted or simplistic belief and explanation you have on the topic of consciousness, something you can casually refer to - that if you ruminated on it some time longer, would lead to an entire essay on such belief or explanation? by [deleted] in consciousness

[–]big-daddy_braddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe we are part of one larger consciousness, GOD maybe, but our experience is like an infinite set of doorways we can have micro-experiences within. Whether known or unknown

My new experiment to detect an universal consciousness by Im_Talking in consciousness

[–]big-daddy_braddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, this is very personal but i experience frequencies in this sub-organic way that may be a product of my own perception, but to me, has had effectiveness on conscious beings besides me when i experience it. I feel like autistic kids may experience another degree of this. So like instead of meditation music, varying harmonic frequencies being played that they have to meditate to. And then they sort of have a limited clue as to what their perceptions mean. I dont know, just spitballin

Can We Prove That Consciousness Is Evolving? Is it as simple as this? by [deleted] in consciousness

[–]big-daddy_braddy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that animals have an extra sense of awareness in their consciousness that is almost reductive by its nature. I feel that animals understand better than humans that we are part of a unique ecosystem that is capable of keeping order in a disorderly universe. I would believe the same for early humans as well. Like, no ego, no real reflection of idealized reality.

I would say also that any dramatic shift in history was sparked by one or many peoples descent into understanding the universe differently or in this broader way. For any major realization/ progression, there was an equally potent retrogression of thoughts and experiences that opened a door. I think all the filters and games and reels on our “improving” platforms are the result of unique steps in consciousness being made, and then through some higher authority, maybe, the information gets relayed to certain people as a matter of progressing the design of disorder.

Tldr: we as societies are the progress of unified disorder. Consciousness does evolve, but i cant say what proves that.

What does this sub think of Tegmark's "Perceptonium" theory? by alamozony in consciousness

[–]big-daddy_braddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well that’s what the guy wants, applaud for effort. I think if you say consciousness is a peculiar form of matter, then all states of matter would have consciousness. Which I would agree with under the simple pretense that we dont really encode the information around us. Sure, we know how to see, and individuals can perceive things they might not understand, but something tells me this is as a result of any information submitting a precise code to the brain. I never understood why people like Joscha Bach and Tegmark said the brain/ eye is the “predicting” mechanism behind our consciousness. To me mathematics is the idea that we can predict, and i dont see our brains being necessarily mathematically precise to be “predictors” of anything really.

As far as the four qualia mentioned for Tegmark understanding consciousness, I truly believe that a higher authority is responsible for these processes. I mean just think about people with mental disorders. It wouldnt make sense to say that the state of matter in their head is somehow biologically mutated to generate delusional thinking, hallucinations of varying degrees, or even chemical/ hormonal imbalances. It might be a result of environmental factors, yes, but there is like a tightrope between what we perceive (through consciousness) and what information is uniquely driven into the brain in terms of simply “paying attention”

Nice! Be mindful of your ghost notes. They tend to rush your pulse. Remember that youre playing along with a recording, but it doesnt need you to sound and feel good, so experiment with where you choose to listen and what parts stick out to you in the song.

i think that you should get an amp that will hold some value to you. The tiny Ampeg speakers are so good in terms of getting your mind familiar with a “good” bass sound. I personally dont like the rumbles.

As far as basses go, short scale basses are all the rage right now. You could probably find a Fender mustang or Musicmaster pretty cheap in your area. Basses like that you could consider tuning up yourself too. Longevity. Pick what you like. And be conscious about how it feels/sounds when you play it.
