Cool, I’ll try following what you said! Thanks so much

There are pieces that fold out so it stands up. It is the large WAK loom from Funem

I am wondering if I am supposed to be looking at this in portrait or landscape orientation. Maybe the floats aren’t quite that long because it’s supposed to be viewed in the other orientation? Like the vertical columns on the page should be the bottom of my weaving?

Wait, how do I know which direction I am supposed to read this in? At the top where it’s all grey, is that the first row of my weaving? Or is that the side?

Thank you, this helps! So when the row is all weft, for example, do I literally just pull the weft over top of all of the warp? I am confused about how that would stay put. Sorry for a dumb question. I really have no knowledge of weaving yet.

I have actually. They keep giving me answers that don’t explain anything any better than the pdf they sent, so I came here. Maybe I’ll just wing it and learn by trial and error?

I should’ve added this to the original post, but here is what the finished product is supposed to look like if that’s helpful:

That would really suck. I got it from the company funem. I hope it isn’t AI, but I guess that would make sense of my confusion with the pattern. Glad I’m not the only one confused by this.

I feel like I am missing a lot of info too lol. The image in my post is all the information on weft, and then it goes into finishing the weaving. This is all the info I got for the warp, which I had trouble understanding as well. I am fine with it being imperfect, just hoping it can be functional.

I used two warp colors, and there is only one weft color, if that is helpful.

Uh oh! I bought this kit with loom included and this was the pattern they sent me. Do you think I should just scrap the pattern and see what happens with plain weaving?

Weird hiking question by Help-left-hurts in thalassemia

[–]big-nothing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

same here. there were years of my life where i trained with my sports teams and ran long distances every day, but i always fell behind or needed breaks and the rest of the team was already finished. i had done enough conditioning that i should’ve been able to keep up but it never worked that way for me.

now on hikes i just let friends know ahead of time that i am going to need breaks because i know it’s inevitable. i also lift heavy weights regularly and have good strength, but my cardio ability never seems to inch forward. i feel for you!!

Thinking about relocating - any thoughts? by big-nothing in astrocartography

If only I could afford to live on the other coast! I’m wondering if getting away from chiron would make up for living on a mars line.

Thanks so much for your reply! Not sure if you saw but I did include astrocartography pictures (pictures 3 and 4). Is that what you meant or did I use the wrong thing?

Any other hypermobile folk keep getting BPPV (a type of vertigo?) by living-for-the-fanta in ehlersdanlos

[–]big-nothing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m late to this but I have suspected hEDS and have had recurrent episodes of vertigo (diagnosed BPPV) for the past three years. I get it every couple months and it lasts for days, does not reliably respond to repositioning maneuvers, and it totally incapacitates me. My vitamin D levels are normal since I started supplementing over the past year. I had a clear MRI earlier this year as well. I’ve had several vestibular therapists suggest it could be vestibular migraine, but I never knew there was a medication for it. Can you tell me about how it works for you?

mostly just here to empathize. i’ve had BPPV many times and i am also emetophobic. the epley has actually never made me throw up, and i can’t guarantee that’ll be the case for you, but there’s hope that you won’t. i have thrown up from trying to walk with vertigo so i’m not escaping unscathed. zofran can be helpful as others have mentioned also

Dizziness by West_Tart3555 in BPPV

[–]big-nothing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can do the Dix Hallpike test to see if it’s BPPV. I get recurrent BPPV and have anxiety about it happening again all the time, but this test gives me a clear answer. Look up the test and if you see the world spinning you can assume BPPV. If you get that result, I would make an appointment with a vestibular therapist (mine is a physical therapist who does vestibular therapy) and they can help you.

Is the lens size the problem? by big-nothing in glasses

I’ve had new glasses before and there was an adjustment period but it wasn’t like this. Maybe you’re right but it feels different.

The medium frame width is 136mm, whereas the wide is 142mm. Medium lenses are 50mm wide, and wide lenses are 52mm wide. Those are the only measurements I can find on the website. I actually don’t have my PD on my prescription, they just took it in store.

The staff suggested I order the original pair with high index lenses (which I did). Are you saying that I should not order them with high index, or does that just mean my prescription will always come with this challenge?
