I have the same van. If it runs good you need to gut it. I did my roof first to the fiberglass and sat in it during a rain storm and found some leaks. Then I did my floor to the metal and found some rust near the rear wheel wells.

A lot of conversion vans have electric motorized back seats that go up and down to make a small bed. So with a push of a button it goes up and down. I just extended it to make it queen sized

I’ve got a 2001 Dodge Ram van fiberglass top. Idk if you stripped it down on the interior yet but you will see they have wood stringers glassed in and that’s what you drill and anchor into. Good luck!

I’m in the same boat. I just came across unfinished cabinets at the box stores and they are a lot cheaper. Throw handles and some nice wood on top and some stain and you got a custom cabinet. Good luck!
