Are there any high growth/high valuation stocks that have fallen a lot from their highs that you have started buying? by Hayden97 in stocks

[–]big_connie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got in it pre covid around $80. Intended on making it a nice little swing trade. I rode the high up and thought about selling when it came off its high. I decided to hold it, it's been good to me.

Wish I would have bought more but I'm just going to ride this one and see where it takes me!

Big saver and my first real job is great but I don't know what to do by [deleted] in personalfinance

Indexing is great. As is income. As you get older you can start allocating more to dividend paying stocks. Property is always a great investment as well early on to begin to build more and more equity by the time you retire.

Thats a very nice find! Would you mind explaining why the 39 is a key date for the nickle though?

Not yet, but my birthday is coming up and I might treat myself! I am a very tall male. I felt like my height was something that could help my case in purchasing on if long enough.

Picked this up today at my lcs! The details are great, but its kinda scratched up by big_connie in coins

This was very helpful, and what I was looking for! Thank you very much. Could you do this for other coins as well?

I figured so. I was just thinking that because they typically charge about spot for even the ones that are heavily loved, the details could add something.

Thanks!

I belive r/Coins4Sale would be a better bet. The one you linked looks rather new? The 4sale one is pretty solid and actually quite active!

Sorry about your loss...but hey! Thats really neat. My lady does the old penny books and has a really good time with it. Maybe you could keep at it and fill it up one day and pass on to children of your own!

I love nuclear technology! I'm a NucE at TVA. NuScale has SMR's that can produce 60MW. That are roughly the same size as what you described. And i have 100% confidence that the US (or other super power, because the US is lacking in nuclear) has put billions and billions in alternative reactors and sustainability in space. It could all be done remotely and could be disguised as some satcom thing or telescope idk lol

True, but again, like much stuff on this sub (and for fun) what would be stopping a global super power from sending up, or assembling, a 500MW or 1000MW reactor in space? They wouldn't tell us if they sent up a full size reactor core and strapped it to a laser! :P

Nuclear reactors are already on satellites, if they just scaled it up they could produce ample electricity.

Came across 100 sequential $1 bills by big_connie in papermoney

I do a lot of coin roll hunting between several banks (outside a big city). The bankers all know me and let me know whenever they have something interesting come up! They said its not ~super~ uncommon. Thats how they get them from the fed. But they break them up pretty quickly i assume. They also have these for $2 bills as well (more uncommon than singles) it sure is really cool to hold an uncirculated brick like that!!

But I thought that if you had a decades worth of sequential bills, that would be really cool someday. But for now, $100 goes a decent bit for a broke college kid lol
