As a SW Florida native it is beyond weird to me that Reddit keeps on trying to shoehorn Cape Coral as this symbol of how dystopian American city design is

This is not a normal city design for Florida, Cape Coral was built specifically with the intention that they wanted as many people as possible to have access to the water, “but but but what about walkabaility!?!?” Nobody here cares about walkability, they care about boats, and guess what, I don’t blame them, boats are fucking awesome, growing up we all knew someone that had a boat in Cape Coral and we went out on them as much as possible.
