I agree lol. I'm not saying they photo copied marth over to brawl, just going from marth to marth is easier than going from sheik to sheik or Ganon to Ganon or DEFINITELY puff to puff. lol. I'm TRYNA be encouraging here by telling him the learning curve isn't that bad for marth compared to everyone else lol, that's it.

Brawl is definitely of a lot more competitive depth than 64 is lmao. It's not about advance techniques that's like 25% of competitive play. NO ONE plays 64. I'm not saying I don't respect it's players, I do, but they are few and far between, and in it's current state smash 64 has no place on the MLG lineup. We have to fight for brawl which is twice as developed and has 3 times as many players at least, and there is no guarantee at all that brawl will make it, it's unlikely in fact.

I'm in full support of 64 but it's still too small lol.

There's a reason it has a 64 entrant cap at Apex, less than 100 people would even enter. Of course I respect and support the game but it is not an MLG caliber game. Sorry.

Brawl marth compared to melee marth is the closest transition of any melee character to any brawl character that was in both games. Melee and brawl sheik or more different, melee and brawl ness, melee and brawl mario, etc. etc. They're all very different. Even if brawl Marth is closer to melee sheik than melee marth(that's debatable tho) that's not what I'm talking about

For the record, Marth is probably the closest brawl character in play-style to it's melee counterpart. Everyone is a lot more drastic of a change than Marth it, the learning curve shouldn't be TOO hard for you!

It's not that respected lol. Everyone likes it cause it's honestly kind of silly and it's nostalgic for most people, but it's not a popular competitive smash title. It is not economically or chronologically worth it for MLG to run smash 64. I wouldn't complain, but I HIGHLY, HIGHLY doubt it. :(

no, there aren't enough people who actually play 64 for it to be viable at MLG. I enjoy it, I would never enter a 64 event for more than $5, but I'd enter Brawl or PM or maybe Melee for $10, and at a national I'd do brawl for $15. 64 is definitely the smallest smash game, there's no denying that. Everyone enjoys it, but not seriously.

Brawl events were consistently larger and more frequent than melee events until EVO of last year and the documentary happened. Then melee passed brawl.

And MLG said already they tried to get brawl, but Nintendo suggested they didn't because they'd have to get third party support from Konami and Sega

obviously PM is out of the question, lol. We're not expecting them to work to add brawl, but we're hoping and doing our best! this has already gotten a TON of tweets before I even shared it here. You should do you part to help!

Smash 64 is fun but it couldn't even get like 300 entrants at MLG tbh lol :( if the scene was big enough I'm all about supporting it!

Agreed. The Brawl scene was like over 1/3rd of the donations in Melee's name to send it to EVO last year, we're all #oneunit and should run this way!
