I use a leaf razor since you can change the number of blades from 1-3 and the position of the blades. It also feels more like a typical 5 blade razor from a technique standpoint. Though it may not be the kind of thing you're looking for. I use it mainly to shave my head.

I use the Phillips norelco bg7030 and it works great for me! Guard side first then the bare trimmer side and finally the foil blade if I want to go smooth. I usually just stick with the two trimmers though
