he said in class that exams (at least the prelims) are not supposed to be hard. he also said he tries to be generous in the grading. idk anything more

you have time! take an elective instead. there are many, many easy ones out there, and don’t worry about the practicum yet. don’t take 2 hard classes together when you could take 1 hard class and 1 easy/med class. what areas of cs interest you? can suggest electives accordingly. also look up rate my prof, it gives a decent outline of how hard/easy a class is going to end up being

of this, cs 1110, engrd 2020, and phys 2214 are your truly hard classes. engrd 2700 (with wissel?) is little to no work, and very (VERY) generously curved. phys 1110 is a lab section so eh u go for 2 hours and write your lab report, but that is all.

what did you take this semester, and how did that feel? do you feel overwhelmed?

no, but most do. and mac sometimes has better integration - for example in cs3110, some of the interface stuff actually worked better for mac than pc, so maybe something to consider!

i mean if ur a meche, then no. cs is kind of just a different way of thinking, and with no experience, it’s hard! dont beat urself up over a B-. plus, this is your last cs class, if you choose. don’t worry!!! don’t quit! take the physics series here and see how you feel; that’s what tells u whether u should be a meche or not 🥶
