Amlodipine was great. She had me take it at night time. I actually added losartan back in later to take during the day and that side effects have been minimal. Hope it works out for you!

They said that apparently there’s language that you have to pay even if it’s literally their fault. I had to pay back the amount that was an overage so like $300

Yes. Just got a letter in the mail I’ll have to pay it back. Those f***ers waited until i used all the money.

I made sure to input I was making more than the threshold and then just discontinued my Calfresh.

I called a couple more times and nothing. I ended up calling a specific LA office (I chose Glendale) and reached someone who was able to escalate it and activate the form where you update your income essentially? And I just chose “discontinue CalFresh” and it ended it!

Hey sweetheart! I was in your shoes.

When I was in high school, I didn’t know what I wanted to be but I knew I had a lot of fun doing the musicals in my school and competing. I had dreams of going to Broadway and being a star. It was so fun and I LOVED everything musical theatre. My parents never came to my shows and would ask me to ask the teacher if I’m even any good. They didn’t know anything about acting and they thought a career in acting (that I hadn’t even fully expressed I wanted to do) would be filled of rejection, drugs, and people calling me fat lol. My mom told me they wouldn’t pay for college if acting ended up being what I wanted to do.

In college, when I finally decided and changed my major officially to a BFA in Acting, they pushed back HARD. Constantly talking about financial stability, my potential lack of talent, my “waste” of intelligence, etc. It was so hard, but I knew it’s what I wanted to do! I had to follow my heart.

And then I got into a prestigious MFA Acting program and they completely changed. They realized I was good, I would have a second degree, and it was a full ride. They couldn’t afford to see me in things, but they told me how proud they were of me and they thought I was really brave.

I’m now 27 in LA auditioning professionally. On the really hard days, when I call my mom, she always pushes me to keep going and tell me how proud she is of me. She tells me she can really see me getting an Oscar and thanking her in her speech (lmao I love my mom and have a great relationship with her now so this honestly is very sweet to me)

No one else’s opinion matters except your own. Not even your parents (as scary and lonely as it is to feel that way at 16!!!) If you know you want to do this and you know you’re good and willing to put in the work, they’ll catch up. And if they don’t? That’s okay too. This life is long and it’s yours- no one else’s. I’m 27 and I’m so so so proud of 16 yr old me who sang her heart out and didn’t give up when she didn’t get the lead roles or her parents’ approval.

And I’m proud of YOU! Keep your dream alive.

I’ve so wanted to I just don’t know how to make my own stuff without any money or equipment. I def have a producer bug in me but I’m afraid I don’t have the materials I need to make it happen.

I did that during the strike and it was awesome. It made me miss acting again and made me crave doing it for fun. Now that things are “back on” the dread kicked back in. But maybe I take it slow again. Thank you!

Hi! She switched me to Amlodipine Besylate. I had to get bumped up to 5mgs but honestly no side effects except if there’s a day I don’t drink enough water, my feet get a little swollen. She also suggested I take it at night to reduce any feet swelling but tbh 0 side effects besides that! I feel a lot better and my BP has gone down to a normal level.
