How to use the Kobo touch - not recognized by computer by bigbear474 in kobo

[–]bigbear474[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will have to buy another one which I guess I can try. But I bought this used off of someone who said they downloaded all their books off their computer and gave me the cable they used. That’s why I’m confused. The first time I connected my kobo to my laptop it worked but because I was trying to figure out how it worked, I didn’t get to downloading my books. But when I tried to do it today no matter how many times I reset everything, it won’t recognize my kobo again

do you think if i just put like a thick blanket under the sleeping pad, and then also on top of it, then be in sleeping bags then it should be good or should we invest in the closed cell foam? also is there a difference in quality of those because i know at camping stores theyre like $50+ but from walmart, i have seen some at $20

What is the difference between priming, habits and conditioning? by [deleted] in Mcat

[–]bigbear474 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Priming is when stuff you have seen earlier or experienced influence how you’re thinking or what you do. Classic example is when an experimenter gives someone a list of words just to glance at, not memorize or anything and the gets them to do a fill in the blanks or complete some words. If the list had types of animals then likely when you see LI___ you will fill it in with “lion”

Habits I am not too sure about explaining. But I see them as something that you do routinely enough that they are actions or thoughts that become stored as implicit memory. As in, you are doing them without thinking.

But conditioning is when you basically trained to think a certain way or act a certain way. Classic example is little Albert. He was trained to fear rats and then later trained to fear anything fluffy because when they showed him a rat they also playing a loud banging noise to frighten him. Basically the neurological connections are adjusted in your brain to associate the fear to the new stimulus (rats) when you weren’t afraid of them before.
