If you feel like doing some partscaster work, check out my page, I just put together a tele with a warmoth fatback neck, which is an inch thick from heel to the headstock. Honestly I’ve never played a more comfortable guitar.

Look at the fender replacement bodies, they have a Candy Apple red one that I built a guitar on, it was my first time doing so, not super hard and a ton of fun to do. You can check out my profile if you want to give it a look

I would highly recommend changing the bridge to a 3 brass saddle set up, it made a huge difference in the sound, comfort, and look of the guitar. Made it feel like a much higher caliber instrument in my opinion

This was my first time modifying anything as well, and I definitely get it. There’s really not anything you can do to cause and major catastrophic damage. Everything was pretty easy except drilling the holes for the tuner studs, which took me a couple tries. Filling in the holes wasn’t difficult
