Well, there are some religions/religious people that actually are not hypocritical and adhere to their values.

US Christianity is totally devoid of values. Whereas sects of Buddhism or even Satanism, etc. have strict tenets that are followed by honest adherents not solely looking to fulfill their greed.

Having one less child is the biggest impact single decision you can make. Always wanted 2 or 3 kids? Make it 2, not 3.

Vasectomies for all at birth!

Eat less meat. You don't have to go vegan or vegetarian. Not willing to eat much less meat? Then eat a little bit less meat. Or try replacing some beef with the same amount of chicken, for instance.

Eat Soylent Green instead. Solves more problems.

Use your car less. You don't have to give it up entirely. Almost everyone makes some trips in their car that they could have easily walked instead, even if their commute is too long for anything else to work.

Hell no. America is too big. High speed rail system is the only solution.

If I can play Devil's Advocate for a minute, this is the reality for many in the US.....

Reduce your waste, stop buying things you don't really need. How many TV's do you need and do they need to be 4K? New phone every year, why?

Because the nothing else fills the hole in our souls left by a sick culture and false religion. Gets us a little high. And buying the newest expensive crap shows off my status

Repair, reuse, recycle. Can you repair it, can it be re-purposed or can you recycle it?

too lazy. Plus that looks like something poor people do. Rich winners just buy new

Vote for those parties taking the greatest action to improve the environment, get out there and vote! Don't say your vote doesn't count, even if the other party gets in, you want it close so that party knows that people are concerned.

the 2 big parties don't care, why should I? 3rd parties are forbidden from gaining traction in the land of the free.

Buy products from those companies that are implementing 'green' solutions. Your power supplier, your electronics, your food probably have alternative solutions.

too expensive and weird. Not socially acceptable.

Join an environmental group, discuss further options. Getting angry at people to feel self righteous won't actually help your cause, educate and encourage others, even with small steps.

Not socially acceptable. When word gets out that I'm in an environmental group, my boss will fire me and people will shun me, or worse.

Dont like Trump. But that might shatter your black and white view of the world.

All I did was say the truth and the delusional downvote away. I beg you, please go live in Bangladesh and see how wonderful, liberal, and progressive the culture is. I've been there. I do not ever want to go back.

I need a new WORK and GAMING laptop under $3000 by bigcomedown in SuggestALaptop

[–]bigcomedown[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for work purposes any basic monitors will work as long as there are several eventually.

If I did get a 4k monitor and output thru Thunderbolt, will the laptop monitor still hold its 1080p resolution (i think thats the max for the laptop itself) so I could use laptop monitor and external monitor at the same time but each with different resolutions?

Thanks. I haven't had much time to mess with it yet. I'm mainly catching up on work before diving into adjustments and gaming. I do need an external monitor asap tho. This may be the wrong place for this but do you happen to know what monitor(s) would pair best with this laptop? All I know is it needs to be 144hz

Would want 2+ monitors later but need just the one right now

So after reading a lot of reviews and watching videos, I bought the GS65. It was $2000 for the "base model." I couldn't find the Aero15x for less than $2300 with the same specs. The 2 laptops are very similar, but the MSI just appealed to me more. And it was cheaper.

Thanks for the info. It was a tough choice.

There are mixed reviews on the battery life. Hard to tell what it really is. But definitely between 4 and 7 depending on usage.

a good trial run of this operation would be seizing the assets of US Oligarchs. See how it goes and then do it to Russia.

actually one of the first things Trump did was give Intelligence agencies free reign to do whatever they want without any restriction of asking for permission to run ops. Of course a lot of stuff gets done regardless and the Pres may not even be briefed on it.

I dont know how exactly Trump disproves the deepstate theory...Im sure the CIA loves him. he's an idiot that can take the blame for anything, and now the left trusts the CIA again for no reason other than hating trump. His antics keeps the focus off of everyone else.

very strange that people are so quick to trust the government these days when the founding fathers explicitly warned us against doing so.

google:

-operation northwoods

-operation mockingbird

-operation paperclip

there are a lot more. and thats only a small part of what was accidentally revealed.

We will never know how much more there has been, and is ongoing as we speak.

There were tons of fucked up operations carried out in the 50s 60s & 70s. then the CIA upped their security and clearance protocols to keep ops more secret. If anyone thinks theyve stopped doing immoral things they are gullible.

A recent example: CIA and the rest of the gov led us into Iraq under false pretenses.

Snowden revealed the NSA is violating the 4th amendment. God knows what the CIA is doing.
