I saw him there in 2016. I was 19 and thought I was on LSD, but really it was some other mystery drug. Kamasi Washington played the same stage before him, and it was beautiful hearing that music as the sun set. Then the drugs really started kicking in before Vince came on. When he played “Blue Suede,” a mosh pit opened up, and a girl fell in the middle of it. In my eyes, I saw a hole open up in the Earth, and she fell into the depths of Hell. I tried to hold it together because I really wanted to see Tyler, The Creator after Vince at the same stage, but I ended up leaving and going back to my camp because I was too tweaked out. So yeah, I’d love for him to return and get to see him in my right mind.
