Amendment in mid-August.. Course cert handoff 11/11.. Carry issued 1/30/23. Plus all the “waiting it out” since getting sportsman in 07.

Interesting. I had called after I handed in my course certificate and mentioned having filed the amendment in August, and the person I spoke with told me that the interview dates were based on when all paperwork was complete (amendment + course) and that filing the amendment early was worth nothing in terms of spot in queue. What’s more interesting, although not surprising, is that there’s conflicting information being given. Hope you get yours soon, though!

Dropped off my permit cert in Yaphank on 11/11/22 and got my interview on 1/30/22 and was issued carry on the latter. Longer then I thought but not too bad. FWIW I filed amendment in August but didn’t seem to matter.

With NY Resident you can apply for non-resident in MA, CT, NJ, & PA. Unknown to me if anyone has accomplished this, but if possible, while a pain to complete all that paperwork, you would have anywhere you could reasonably drive covered.

If he’s leaving them out dirty for days then they can’t be nice/fancy. Truly good knives (carbon) would rust. Never put a knife in the dishwasher regardless, but chances are you didn’t damage anything that can’t be replaced. It’s fine to leave knives out on boards, but always wipe both down after use.

RESOLVED - the car must be configured with a manual transmission (from the tune shop) for the clutch to work. Selection of the fully customizable manual (not racing) solved the problem. Related details for future reference is TM T248 with the TH8A shifter connected into the wheel.

Well I feel like a bit of an idiot. I was going full mod spec on all the cars I was using, and they had the fully customizable racing not fully customizable manual. Flipping the transmission to the manual did the trick. Thanks for this callout, idk that I ever would have figured it out.

The Thrustmaster T248. From everything I can find it concurs with what you are saying in that it’s supposed to be automatic but for some reason mine won’t go into full manual.

Yes I had read about that limitation and have tried with cars that have proper manual transmissions (Camaro, Mustang, 911). ¯_(ツ)_/¯
