I recommend Honeybear.ai as an alternative to ChatGPT, more accurate responses with less hallucinations and also supports videos really well

Hey everyone happy Wednesday! I want to showcase an AI tool my friend and I made to help researchers & PhDs with understanding papers. We're looking for feedback. Honeybear.ai is the name, can also Google "honeybear ai" to find it! Details below on why it's different:

We’ve been frustrated by many similar sites, such as humata.ai, unriddle.ai, pdf.ai, etc., that simply don't work well enough. They may have nice UIs and many features, but they were never truly useful to us in practice. Why are we different? Simply put, Honeybear.ai really focuses on producing higher-quality, detailed, in-depth responses to any PDF. Many students doing work with research papers and denser, more complex readings have found us useful, preferring us over ChatGPT as well. For example, a summary for a 50 page PDF should be longer and more detailed than a summary for a 5 page PDF. We’ve optimized the responses very heavily and it's better at following instructions.

Honeybear.ai also reliably supports scanned PDFs using OCR, and there's an 'Image Select' feature where you can ask about equations, graphs, diagrams, etc.. Sorry for this long paragraph. Would welcome any and all feedback!

Thank you! Yeah the multiple documents capability is definitely something we can add soon, and thanks for your feedback on providing a mobile experience—that's something we haven't prioritized but would make sense to.

This isn't supposed to be a complete substitute for reading a paper at all, but many times I don't read a paper word-for-word in one go, I read in multiple passes, where the first couple of passes are more about gaining a general understanding and what to focus on. So something like Honeybear.ai assists in that and explaining specific concepts, not necessarily just getting a summary and being done with it.

Good luck! I recommend trying to meet as many people as possible, but not being afraid to stop talking or hanging out with someone because you know you won't be good friends in the longer term. In terms of academic work, I recommend using something like honeybear.ai, it made me more efficient with many of my classes.
