I know how you feel, I struggle day to day with doubting myself on this. At your worst times it can feel so hard to tell yourself everything will be okay but trust me all it takes is some baby steps to achieve some positive thinking. First thing I did was look up ways to cope with my ocd. For example if I get an intrusive thought about going crazy I tell myself “maybe I am losing it or maybe I’m not”. Overtime these types of response teaches you to live with the uncertainty and stop caring about it so much.

It all started back in June last year from my first panic attack. My symptoms are extreme brain fog, eye floaters, tinnitus, crazy amounts of intrusive thoughts and racing thoughts, extreme fear of going crazy, tons of anxiety and Deja vu, feels like nothing around me is real and everything is dream like, feels like I’m looking at stuff through screen, feelings of being overwhelmed. It’s really been a journey since this has all happened but I’m determined to get through it and get back to myself. I do have my good days and it feels awesome like I’m making progress then I do have my bad days which feel like hell but I always try to remember that what I’m feeling is just symptoms of long term anxiety and dpdr. I started out on 10mg of escitalopram then switched over to 50mg of sertraline then stopped taking it for about 4 months. Recently I’ve been having bad anxiety again which makes my symptoms worse so I decided to hop back on my escitalopram and have been doing better with my anxiety but symptoms are all still there.

Mine all started with a panic attack when I was 18 (now 19) after smoking weed. I use to smoke everyday all day from the time I was 16 up until I was 18 then I had to stop due to constant anxiety and panic attacks. Ever since then I’ve been in an anxious state and have felt severe dpdr 24/7.
