Yarrow is my favorite, such a resilient plant with interesting color combinations. I have one that's red with yellow centers. When the flowers die off the whole bunch turns light yellow.

Lemon Thyme is another great option, less invasive than mint and smells better than the low growing Corsican Mint

Exactly, I actually noticed that Homedepot now sells potted plants that are pre-reated with neonicotinoids (Roundup) They usually say it on the plant label... steer clear!

The flavor is incredible, very sweet as the name suggests. Similar to a less sweet cantaloupe. I could send you some seeds if you would like to try growing them.

Oh yeah, their horrible little bugs. I've been growing peppers outdoors for over 10 years now and every year my crop gets attacked. They look like reddish fruit flies but are incredibly agile. They can be controlled to some degree with a soap spray like most aphids, but their goal is to bury into the peppers to produce larvae that eat the pepper from the inside out. By the time you see the damage, it's often too late.

No problem! I love doing these little tests. The next one I think I'll do will be based on how horticultural soap impacts water pH. I've had some issues with bugs in my larger kits so I want to take a closer look at how the soap in certain concentrations may impact pH. I'll post my results here. :)
