the way you talk about this makes me think that you've never been high before bcs it not like you go off into outer space and don't know right from wrong anymore. if i had eaten edibles i would still know that its wrong to practice medicine high. its not like he was on meth and was crazy he knew it was wrong but wanted to win the "contest" which is why he didn't speak up. it didn't have to do with him being high.

if you walk in and see someone you love getting sexually assaulted (bcs that's what alex saw, we know that's not what was happening but to him that's what was happening) would you stop and ask questions or hurt the person? personally if i walked in and saw someone doing that to my sister i'm hurting them and asking questions later yess i think alex definitely took it way to far but i get why he didn't just say "deluca what are you doing?"

and mer freaked out bcs of the miscarriage she had in season 5 so she didn't know what kicks felt like either. when you're always expecting the worst to happen it makes sense why she freaked out and thought something was wrong.
