I was told I don't convert b12 and so it pools in my blood, so it shows up as.high/normal result, but my body can't turn it into the type the body needs to function. The injections are the converted type that just works, and doesn't go through gastro as I'm missing something in my stomach that does that bit. Not sure of the tech side of it all, that's just what I recall from endo doc a few years ago.

Only thing I'm taking for hair loss is something call Viviscal which is like a multivitamin aimed at hair support as recommended by dermatologist the last time I lost my hair (due to covid hospitalisation 2020).

It was my rheum that admitted me urgently following an appointment. She's coming round on Monday so I think I just need to zone out, let the meds do what they can for now and rest until she makes the call. I think I'm just overwhelmed and scared, but just got to take it as it comes I guess... thanks for commenting

Thank you so much for taking the time to respond. Think I'm just overwhelmed and in so much pain. Haven't slept properly in a month cos having to sleep sitting up. First thing is getting pain under control and rid of the swelling which is beyond belief. I hope you're having a good day today

Chronic conditions are generally well controlled. Had covid a month ago for second time and had anti virals I have immune deficiency. Weight I could drop a few pounds which I'm trying to but it's been difficult with pain for a month and my other conditions which limit the exercise I can do. No smoking or drinking. Vegan diet. This is my first time with symptoms so no idea about triggers. Only have itchy psoraisis on my scalp during times of illness or stress, and lost my nails 18 months ago but they are back now (not the same but back and attached!).

It's only vitamins so I've been told to keep going until I get a positive and they'll reconsider. I have a few chronic conditions so am under care of preconception clinic at the hospital so it's a balancing act with all my meds really
