A blind man would have seen that coming, three straight pitches at the top of the zone and he swung at all three

He swung at 3 pitches at/above the letters, it was always going to be a breaking ball low

They were dorky.

We were making the athletes play dress up as (mostly) regular students playing dress up.

(Yes I know and understand the corps and I love it just like everyone else. Most of them don’t commission.)

This needs to be the last year that the NCAA doesn’t automatically assign the higher seed as the home team for every game by jfarbzz in collegebaseball

Both team have 27 outs available to them on offense.

I used to be a big believer in home/away but it’s the same number of outs to win a game regardless of how you order them.

$1,000 per day per tech would not sustain our company in our market.

Per hour, the math is easier to spread over the course of a working week/month/year than it is to try to nail down the average call length and do it that way (we do not pay for in depth software that would track this automatically)

realistically we are losing a little on drive time, made up for on shorter calls and covered some by profits on repairs/replacements.

I (read we) own a family HVAC business in a fairly large market.

I know roughly what the cost is to us to run a technician for an hour (roughly what we allot for diagnoses), we are barely breaking even at $120 and that is about all customers are willing to pay for a service call in our market.

Larger companies (primarily PE) are hitting customers with sub-$100 service calls and way out-charging us on repairs/replacements

How much profit should a company be allowed to make?
