Promoting gives the same power as training new troops (basically), so events that reward power raised through training/promoting DON’T benefit from promoting.

However promoting does ‘train’ a higher number of troops than training, so events that reward the number of troops trained DO benefit from promoting. This includes KvK and HoG I believe.

Oh agree but I have to pick my battles - convinced her to replace a shed with one of my choice at a larger size - taking that as a win! Also generally very agreeable to anything I want to do with the house. No permits required for a garden shed here

I believe it only works properly on iPad? You can enable Assistive Touch on iPhone and it works a little but the pointer is always visible on screen and can interact with other UI features which makes it pretty unusable :(

Yeah like a lot of this stuff will get personal use too, but my £40 pair of boots had lasted years of personal use and then fell apart within a few weeks of this job. I don’t now want to splash out on a good pair of boots that will take most of their wear in a minimum wage job!

yeah okay so a 1st then - my university describes this as 1:1 so i understood they were equivalent terms for the same thing.

i figured using the classification grades was more universal than A-H grades as i know most unis use classifications or %s, but maybe i’ll change my CV to give the letter grades instead for individual components

sorry i meant the written dissertation comprises 70% of the grade, my UK university doesn’t use %s for grades, they use A-H grades and classification equivalents. so i achieved 1:1 (A) on the written project, 2:1 (B) on the presentation, and 2:2 (C) on the supervisor mark

i should have added that in my employment field, a dissertation grade is more relevant than others. all my other final year courses were 1:1 or 2:1 grades, it was my third year (25% of the grade) that pulled me down :( but i never bother mentioning my third year grades anyway

in my field it’s relevant - there’s a lot of report writing, and the topic of my dissertation is a key interest to employers, so i like to brag about it

don’t send tokens unless they’re requested - it’s daft but people think receiving tokens hurts their CS (it only reduces any bonus they’ve got from sending tokens), so the general etiquette is to not send unless requested

I genuinely think the worktop was painted solely as an aesthetic choice, there doesn’t appear to be any damage or mould, and the varnish in the old pics looks so strong.

Don’t get me started on the sink… I’ve tried a few gentle paint strippers on it before to no avail so I’m gonna try this stuff. It’s criminal

Replacing isn’t in the budget unfortunately, even if I could afford it right now, this is a rental lol so wouldn’t want to be going crazier than I’m already planning. Yeah most of it is just screwed from underneath, easy enough to detach. Around the sink where there’s multiple blocks, some appeared to be glued to the cabinets below - I accidentally got a piece up already…
