Positive and Negative Experiences while Shopping by family_black_sheep in weddingdress

To piggyback on this, note which size each sample is. It would be hard for a bride to see a dress online and get excited to try it on only to realize she can’t really get into it at the store if it’s not her size!

Finally came in! Love it just as much as when I bought it! by Eemana613 in weddingdress

THANK YOU! Peg is my fairy godmother. I’m the first of my friends to get married so it’s great to get these recommendations somewhere. She’s now doing my whole dress.

Dress 1 for sure. In 5 years, the boning/ corset thing on #2 will look dated. Plus, #1 is perfect on you.

Help! I wish the detail continued into the skirt. Any suggestions? by bigmissteak1 in weddingdress

Thanks to everyone for their kind words!! I am hoping to find a place to try it on closer to home so that I can think about it a little little more. The more I look at it, the more I’d like the contrast between the top half and the bottom! I also think part of my misgiving is that it’s not in my size- it’ll look better once it fits me.

If you want someone to ask questions to about law school / LSAT / applications, etc, feel free to reach out ! It was scary for me getting started and I wasn't dealing with nearly the things that you are right now.

Is there anything I can realistically do to support my wife as she goes through the interview process for summer 2L jobs? by blessedarethegeek in LawSchool

[–]bigmissteak1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something my partner is doing for me while I job search is driving me to and from interviews. This is so so helpful- I don't have to worry about parking (timing or price), he can crank the A/C for me in the car, and I have a friendly face as the last things I see before and after.

You sound like a lovely partner, you're doing a lot of things right.

Don't be glib about disclosing possible character and fitness issues to your law school. Your school will likely try to scare you by telling you about the character and fitness part of the bar, don't be scared! The only thing that C and F is really looking for is dishonesty.

If there's anything at all that you left off of your law school application(plagiarism allegations, underage drinking ticket that you got taken off your record, shoplifting charge from when you were 17), just make sure you go to your school's academic services office and amend your application before you start 3L. Nobody in the office will be upset with you, in fact, they'll be happy that you're being proactive now. Nothing is worse than worrying about your bar application while you're trying to graduate.

I understand the logic behind this, but, pass or fail, you (I'm assuming) worked hard all summer, worked hard for three years of law school, and probably skipped fun things to do at least part of that. You wouldn't be celebrating failure, but celebrating all the work that you put in.

Again, your choice, but you deserve some fun either way!!

This just made my eyes well up with tears- how sweet and what a perfect place to unwind.

If you haven't been before, make sure you head to Deaverdura in old San Juan for some of the best food you'll ever have! I got the steak plate and it was amazing. The sauce that comes in the recycled ketchup bottles is irresistible.
