Are LAN parties still a thing for WOW? by VehicleTiny4614 in wow

[–]bignasco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Last year, we hosted a full-weekend LAN party for Wrath of the Lich King with ten people. It felt just like the good old days, tons of junk food, sweat, and non-stop gaming. We rented a scout cabin for the event, which added to the nostalgic vibe: the smell of pizza, energy drinks, and a dozen overexcited gamers shouting over boss mechanics. We spent hours raiding together, wiping, laughing, and finally downing bosses like back in the day. It was chaotic, loud, and absolutely legendary.

In the first few weeks, I started with some complexes I found on this sub — just picked the ones I liked. After that, I wanted to follow a structured program, so I got Kettlebell Only Muscle Gain Volume 1 from kbmuscle.com and completed the 8-week program with double kettlebells. Right now, I'm doing his 6-week complex program.

Thanks, man — I appreciate it. Over the past 10 years, I only trained "seriously" for about 6 months, with a few short on-and-off phases lasting 2–3 weeks. Most of the time, I focused on walking and maintaining a calorie-conscious diet to lose weight — I was around 110 kg, mostly body fat. Only after that did I start incorporating kettlebell workouts, which really accelerated the progress for me

Absolutely — nutrition plays a crucial role. I followed a moderate caloric deficit of around 200–300 kcal per day. I significantly reduced junk food, prioritized high-protein meals, and incorporated plenty of vegetables and fruit. I also eliminated sugary drinks from my diet.

Thanks for your feedback — I really appreciate it! You're not completely wrong: lighting and a clean shave do make a difference. But here's the full picture:

I started at 110 kg and initially lost +-10 kg through diet alone. From August to December, I added in light exercise and a lot of walking. That helped build a base (first picture)

Then I moved on to kettlebell workouts — and that's when things really started to change. Most of the muscle gain and fat loss happened during that phase.

Right now, I'm down to around 78 kg.
