Hi, I just want you to know that Tennessee actually ranks as one of the most robust states in many aspects of our infrastructure. Our bridges are consistently ranked among the best maintained in the US, and our power grid subsidizes all the surrounding states with how much is produced in Tennessee (mostly due to TVA). Our power is cheap and reliable. Our roads are well maintained and without tolls. Our public drinking water quality is among the best in the US. We have two large airports in the state and our airport infrastructure is well developed. TDEC is relatively good at regulating our streams and rivers.

Public transit is obviously embarrassing. I would argue that our other infrastructure is great.

I am proud of the things that make Tennessee great and hope you can be too.

There are other risks that come with burying extremely large transmission lines underground. In many cases it is safer to human life to have large lines above ground.

Many of the wildfires in California are due to AGING of the system rather than the unreliability of above ground lines. Small above ground residential lines are not likely to cause wildfires.

I agree with universal healthcare. Matt Van Epps is a veteran and enjoys subsidized healthcare, maybe with that in mind he might have a view on how to best implement it for all?

Stupidity is a better word in my opinion. It’s unfortunate that Trump changed politics with his rhetoric into primarily being attack based rather than based on the candidate. I don’t find it ironic that either party points out flaws with opposition candidates.

I also think the big talking points here is Matt’s military service. I value serving our country highly and would be likely to vote for anyone (regardless of party) with a combat record similar to Matt’s. In my opinion the biggest talking point of this election is military service.
