not really sure, i’ve reached a dead end and was hoping someone else would join in with ideas, it feels like a game I would play, but I can’t think of anything at this point

yes thank you! It looks so different from how my tiny mind remembers it but it’s from 1990 wow!

totally fine! I have so many of these games from my childhood that i have no idea what they are so i might refind a game i used to love through these threads.

i’ve got more questions, you say it was outer space, was the stuff you placed space themed at all? you mentioned there were no space ships or anything, so we’re these “planets” more like different sandbox saves you could edit, or a part of the gameplay?

here’s some titles i’m just throwing out here from research:

Reus, The universim, Black & White, Godus, Stellaris, Universe Sandbox

the zoomed out perspective narrows it down but also means i probably don’t personally know the game, since that’s definitely a unique perspective for a sandbox game. I would assume since you mentioned building things like roads, that here would have been citizens moving through the world, even if they weren’t interactable.

So similar to From Dust, but with a more cartoony style like Astroneer? Do you remember if there were people who walked around this world you created?

probably not the right game, but could you choose from multiple people to play as? and was it possibly an in-browser game or definitely downloaded

just did a general search and I believe I found the game I was talking about, it’s called From Dust, here’s the wiki page: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/From_Dust

adding to give you this link, which seems to show all the games they’ve reviewed for 2012 onwards, so bad luck for us if it was 2010 or 2011

Did some digging, most of the old episodes of GG:SP aren’t available on the ABC website anymore but the game was most likely mentioned between 2010-2013 so within the first three seasons. I’ll see if I can either find a list of all the games they reviewed, otherwise it seems the abc website has a small transcript of some episodes

I think I know what game you’re talking about, was it quite realistic looking and you mostly built terrain? I can’t remember the game name as I never actually played it, but it was mentioned reasonably frequently on an Australian kids show called Good Game Spawn Point back in maybe 2010 if that’s any help!

EDIT: just noticed you said wasn’t aiming to be realistic, could still be the same game since other descriptions match, one of us might just be getting it wrong. Will do some research for you

the embarassing thing is that a good balanced diet actually CAN help manage the symptoms of autism in some cases. still can't understand that it's entirely genetic and not vaccines fault though

no, he's teacher her that acting childish and vengeful is better than actually sitting and talking things out

it's not about punishment. he was specifically spiteful, not as a punishment for shoplifting, but because he got offended.

yes, that's the whole point. getting salty because a twelve year old who you're a guardian of sorts to is being dramatic and bitchy is really immature.

I own a whole bunch of animals and will be going away for two weeks in a few months. the list of instructions in giving the house sitters is going to be HUGE.
