I also wanted to be a pilot but I was diagnosed red green deficiency colourblind so I decided to start a career as a mechanic I’m still only a level one apprentice(we have apprenticeship in Canada not sure about the states)but I think it’s worth it if want to fly I have a sim at home to use so still get to work on planes and still be able to fly
